Measles Outbreak Infects Above 700, Largest Number Reported After 2000

Overview

The number of measles incidents in the United States has climbed above 700. The highest annual number registered since the disease was declared eliminated in this nation in 2000. The Federal health officials stated on Wednesday.

The total has now exceeded the previous high of 667 sets in 2014. It has been confirmed according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The virus has been detected in 22 states so far.
